The Psychedelometer

The new Alpha Omega album was written in bursts over the space of several years between 2004 and 2006. During that time the members were making appearances in several other experimental musical groups including Tripswyche and The Incredible Exploding Mind.

The Psychedelometer is a narrative-based concept piece telling the tale of Alpha Omega's dealings with the IMSB and the groups who oppose the iron rule of its ruling body The Vortigern Council.

The album's musical style varies drastically throughout, moving from lyrical ballad to heavy rock to ambient via some highly unusual places in between.
